fr:Cibo Matto Cibo Matto was the New York City-based band formed by Miho Hatori and Yuka Honda in the 1990s. Their musical genre contained elements of trip-hop, rock, and latin music. Cibo Matto is an Italian sentence that translates to "food madness". History

When working together in the noise rock band Leitoh Lychee, Miho Hatori and Yuka Honda formed Cibo Matto about 1994. When recording tracks for their number 1 album, Viva! La Woman, they collaborated with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion's Russell Simmons and others, on a side project called Butter 08. Viva! La Woman was freed inside 1996.

It late added band members Sean Lennon on guitar, and Timo Ellis on drums to record Stereo Type A. Spell Viva! La Woman got a stronger hip-hop element, the newly album contained other rock & latin inflected songs. Stereophonic Nature and severity The, freed within 1999, would become their go studio album. A class action continued to play survive concerts until disbanding touching a prevent of 2001. Yuka Honda went in to release solo albums, when Miho Hatori worked in bossa nova, teaming up by using guitar player Smokey Hormel to form "Smokey & Miho".

Inside 1997 a band guest-performed on the television indicate Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in the fictional club The Bronze, singing Sugar A stream.

Since a break-higher, their songs use at times been played within numbers of different stores, including streaming video game Jet Set Radio Future.
